The long-time Microsoft veteran was often praised for his ability to bring complex, massive software projects together. Windows 8 was his latest effort. But he was also criticized as someone who didnt bring people together in a company that desperately needs to bring a unified approach to its technology if it is to compete effectively with Apple and Google. It would appear that he does have the ability to bring complex, massive software together but cannot bring people together as a company. Team spirit was obviously missing. |

| 1312171 | 2012-11-13 06:58:00 | Although he was the "head" of Windows, he didn't design and push the MetroUI, that was done by a team lead by a woman (I forgot her name). If this was about Win8 I HIGHLY doubt that he would be fired/gotten rid of. Win8 was a natural progression, look at WP & xbox, everything is coming together. It would be silly to have a Phone, tablet, and PC ecosystem. Especially with x86 tablets on the market. |
