145664 2003-05-19 05:11:00 I know this should be on a Music site, but I cant find one for NZ Music.

So, please, what is the music on WestpacTrust bank ad, where the board member teleconferences from a beach house whle his wife paints the Director toenails.

Thanks....John.

Don't know, but you've got it the wrong way around - it's the husband painting the wifes toenails while SHE teleconferences. And that's the way it should be ;)

145666 2003-05-19 06:28:00 I would like to know how they get such a fast internet connection to allow teleconferences from what appears to be a beach house out in the middle of nowhere! Andrew B (867)
145667 2003-05-19 06:40:00 Apparently the real site has been identified, and Jetstream is NOT available there anyway. (Or was not when the ad first ran). godfather (25)
145668 2003-05-19 07:01:00 The music is actually an original composition done for the ad. My flatmate went to the trouble of trying to find it himself cos he liked it that much!

Lo.

I believe it's Piha. Not really the middle of nowhere, but close enough.

145671 2003-05-19 08:18:00 The location of that ad is Piha, on the West coast of Auckland. You can see Lions Rock in the background.

No, Jetstream is still not available in that area although there is a satellite connection available for broadband internet access.

145672 2003-05-19 11:03:00 Well, actually, it's a Telecom ad. Trust me, my dad works at Westpac, and he said it's a Telecom ad.

Also, there are companies that get music specifically made for their ads. Take Air New Zealand with the "Zephyrs" song, which is now publicly available due to demand. If you really wanted Westpac music, you'd have to contact Saachi & Saachi, but I'm certain that contracting means that the "general public" don't have access to the music (even though I've got the two songs from Westpac's latest adverts, as my dad had to get a copy of the advertising CD made).
