| 145504 | 2003-05-18 08:53:00 | I have an Athlon XP2000 with 512Mb of DDR333 RAM on a Gigabyte GA7VA mother board running WinXP home edition. The computer will occasionaly reboot and there appears to be no pattern to this. Somtimes may run for many hours or days perfectly then suddenly reset. A blue screen full of data momentarily appears but is gone before I can read it. |

| 145506 | 2003-05-18 09:04:00 | In Control Panel - System - Advanced In the lower "system failure" area, untick the "Automatically restart" box (third down in the lower area) That will let the system hang at the blue screen so you get to see the error message. Carefully note it down and search Google for the initial codes in the error message "0X00..." etc. Should get you closer to the issue. Often a device driver problem. |

| 145508 | 2003-05-18 09:20:00 | I suspect the problem will be hardware related. I've been told that faulty RAm can cause this, but in my experiance, it is more likely going to be down to a dodgy power supply. .Clueless |

| 145509 | 2003-05-18 09:38:00 | In my actual experience it will be faulty RAM. Four against one.... One power supply as opposed to four RAM sticks I have had to replace over the last six years. This doesn't mean it's NOT a power supply problem. JMHO... |

This is what i have done when faced with this problem. If the problem goes away, then yay, if not, next step, replace power supply. .Clueless |

| 145511 | 2003-05-18 10:39:00 | Managed to identify it as a "Page Fault In Nonpaged Area" thanks to comments here and then a look on the Net - dogggy RAM appears to be the first place to look. This is a single 512Mb Module of near new VDATA still under warranty. The error message is XXXstop:00000050 0x9A664FA0, 0x00000000, 0X804E86FF,X00000000 |

| 145512 | 2003-05-18 10:50:00 | I bumped my ram up to 512mb the other day and immediatly started getting the bsod and the exact same error...."Page Fault In Nonpaged Area",Removing the new stick cured it. So did putting the new stick back in and lowering my ram timings. This maybe the last time i spend 47 bucks on a 256mb stick of ddr..... |
