| 145407 | 2003-05-18 05:27:00 | WMP9 uses more CPU power and overall system resources. I can only suggest you look into WinTasks 4 (If you're keen I have a download Link of a fully working version) which will let you specify the priority for WMP9 Otherwise, Upgrade your PC perhaps (What are your system Spec's?) Cheers Chill. |

| 145409 | 2003-05-21 00:18:00 | you can still use the old mediaplayer, its called mplayer2.exe, just search your harddrive for it. Don't recommend Media Player 9, its painfully slow on my athlon 1800+, takes about 30s before it opens a file once you click on it | rsnic (3780) | ||
| 145410 | 2003-05-21 03:29:00 | Something odd here!!!!! My old 225mmx only takes 9 secs from desktop to fully open and 3 seconds between stopping a track and having a new one start. Have I missed something, mhzs now faster than ghzs? :^o |

| 145411 | 2003-05-21 08:42:00 | I also have recently up-graded from MP7.1 to 9, and find it a piece of the proverbial. Any song over 192 bitrate it won't play clearly, is sluggishly slow and sometimes the visualisations won't even show, much less play. I am also running Win 98se, 500 mghz and 183 mg ram. Media Player 7.1 used to run fine, even if it was slow, so I am interested in comments on this thread as well. Any comments welcome. | Tony S. (450) | ||
