| 145607 | 2003-05-19 01:44:00 | When i turn on computer it runs for a short time then shuts down.You have to turn off isolator switch off, then back on. After doing this 4 or 5 times the computer is fully booted and works ok.It only does it when its cold.The o/s is win XP Any suggestions |

| 145610 | 2003-05-19 17:45:00 | I would consider looking at the fan for a start and ensure that they are not clogged with dust. No need to open the case, just use the vac and give them a quick suck. Chances are this is not the problem though. Try a different power cord between the case and the wall, I came across one a short time ago where the 3 prong plug that fits into the case was faulty at the case end, sometimes it would start, sometimes it wouldn't and then it would. 18 Months Old.......It would still be under warranty wouldn't it, if so, consider the option of talking to the vendor, if it appears to be a hardware fault and that is what it sounds like so far, then it could be/should be covered by the warranty. If it is software related then it might not be covered. |
