145608 2003-05-19 06:17:00 I don't think you are going to get much help here without a few more details. What are your computer specs? How old is the machine? How long have you had the problem? When did it start happening? Susan B (19)
145609 2003-05-19 07:01:00 Its a P4, 1.5 processor,400 mhz bus,256 mb ram with 140 GB harddrive,its 18months old.The problem only started yesterday,no problem before that. awoof (1092)
145610 2003-05-19 17:45:00 I would consider looking at the fan for a start and ensure that they are not clogged with dust. No need to open the case, just use the vac and give them a quick suck. Chances are this is not the problem though.

Try a different power cord between the case and the wall, I came across one a short time ago where the 3 prong plug that fits into the case was faulty at the case end, sometimes it would start, sometimes it wouldn't and then it would.

18 Months Old.......It would still be under warranty wouldn't it, if so, consider the option of talking to the vendor, if it appears to be a hardware fault and that is what it sounds like so far, then it could be/should be covered by the warranty. If it is software related then it might not be covered.
