| 145702 | 2003-05-19 09:03:00 | Right click on the folder containing the photos. Select "Sharing and Security" enable "Share this folder" under Networking Sharing and Security. PS make sure you have deleted all those "dodgy" pictures you were telling us about before Maryann sees them..... |

| 145704 | 2003-05-19 09:24:00 | But you said you were networked. Sorry, I assumed that meant the PC's but..<No, wont go there.> Can you explain what you mean by "networked"? If networked for file sharing, then Maryann would click on "My Network Places" in Windows Explorer and navigate the folders on your PC hard drive to the shared photo files, as if they were on her PC. On the other hand if you are only networked to the point of sharing an internet connection, you have some setting up to do. I am sure thats in the FAQ's though. |

| 145706 | 2003-05-19 09:39:00 | Goddie.Mhas access to the Net & the Printer, so I asumme we are networked the "Right" way? PJ | Poppa John (284) | ||
| 145707 | 2003-05-19 10:47:00 | Yes network hardware must be OK then. Make sure Maryann has the same log-in on her machine and on a guest account on your XP machine. I use all XP and don't need this, but believe it is needed with W98 - XP. Read FAQ #42 I am sure it will be easy, after all Susan B did exactly what you want, and the posting on this forum was only about 100 or so long before it all worked. It must therefore be easy... ]:) Only 90 odd to go... :^O |

| 145708 | 2003-05-19 10:59:00 | Goddie. Q1. Can you elaborate on M's Login & Guest's Login? Q2. My m/c was originally W98se. We used the XP Upgrade disc only & after a few problems with the setup ran Ok. Can I use the same Upgrade disc on M's m/c? Or is the XP disc only good on my m/c? PJ |

It must therefore be easy . . . Oh it was! Poppa it is VERY simple . To save you reading through the whole thread ( . pcworld . co . nz/thread . jsp?forum=1&thread=30043" target="_blank">pressf1 . pcworld . co . nz) all you need to do is reformat both machines and reinstall everything . :-) Don't you, Godfather? ;-) :-) |

You might just need to enable sharing on the folders that contain the files Maryann wants to access. Right click on the folder, go to Sharing and Security and put the tick in Enable Sharing under the Sharing tab. |
