| 146492 | 2003-05-22 04:59:00 | In MSWord 2000 I set the default font at 12. Nevertheless, whenever I download a document from My documents, it always turns up with font size 10. Worse still, the program appends a long list of properties of the document, each one occupying one line, sometimes filling a whole page or more. These presumably are data stored somewhere but are not part of the document itself. If I erase these and save again, they still turn up the next time. Worse still, last time I tried this, it erased the document itself and kept the list! I have tried removing Office 2000 altogether with the Windows 98 facility and reinstalling from the original CD. It makes no difference. | Lorenz (3849) | ||

I suggest you close down Word/Office and find and delete the normal.dot file from within your 'personal' profile area. Then restart Word (which will recreate a standard template file (normal.dot) for you). You may have to use the find/search option in Explorer to locate the file. Cheers, Babe. |
