| 146419 | 2003-05-22 00:49:00 | I just upgraded to XP Pro from Win 98 SE. At the very end I get a shortcut on the desktop that "finalizes the Internet installation". When I execute this, it tries to download some update file from the internet. But the internet connection has been destroyed previously by the upgrade process. So it fails. Trying to fix the internet connection manually produces no errors but the internet connection still doesn't work ("unable to find server"). This machine (Dell) is part of a small local network that connects to the internet via a router. Any ideas? |
