| 146258 | 2003-05-21 06:39:00 | I have 2 USB ports previously used for my adsl modem & my scanner. When I unplug 1 or both & connect the camera(Olympus 350zoom)the computer does not recognise it. Yes PNP is on.Yes camera is switched on.Yes camera works on other computers.Yes I can reverse scanner & modem on each port.Yes I have gone to Add new hardware.Yes I've checked Device Mgr.Yes I've reinstalled software . Some how computer appears to be saying "2 usb ports reserved for 2 usb devices -nothing new thanks"Would replacing the 2 plug usb card with a 4 plug card solve the problem? I was planning to do this anyway.I am running WindowsME Any ideas out there??? | amyes5 (2773) | ||
| 146259 | 2003-05-21 10:30:00 | Hi amyes5, Just a shot in the dark! Is the "re-installed "software for that camera? I got a new camera recently that will only upload pics to PC using it's own dedicated viewer?whereas another one will upload to Ulead,Irfanview or ACDSee from the same USB connection that supported an earlier camera that was lost! Cheers,Kiwitas,;-) |

I think that ME is on this list too but not 100% sure. If no detection is happening - has to be a fault of some kind. | JohnD (509) | ||
