| 146882 | 2003-05-23 04:24:00 | Hi, How do I delete temp "access denied" files found in a routine cleanout exercise? I get say 200 files i e BAK ,tmp etc etc which delete when "select all" is selected. I get down to about 20 and this "access denied" stops any further deleting - making the alternative a "hi lite on the file beneath the denied one and scrolling down to another, then deleting - then getting more denied files until the bottom of the page is reached. In particular is Zonealarm (ZLT0404c : and ZLTo45b5) I even tried "shutdown Zonealarm and that was no better, this in case Zonealarm was using the file These appear to be of no value so why deny access? effie c |

Iit is possible they are attached to some other application that is protecting them so I endorse the safe mode suggestion as likeliest to delete on demand. Cheers Billy 8-{) |
