146649 2003-05-23 00:33:00 Good Day!

I am not sure if this was tackled before on this site. We have WinXP Pro at home with atleast 3 users on the PC... all of which share the same Outlook Express Mailboxes & Address Books. I managed to change the registry entries to cater for this.

However....

Is there a way that Microsoft Outlook Express can share the same message rules for ALL 3 users? Whenever I set-up one message rule on the admin user, I have to do a lot of work to populate the same message rule to the rest of the users. Is there a way to make this task easier? Or can you tell me which file or Registry item to tweek?

146650 2003-05-23 00:37:00 Sharing the same Messages shouldnt require a reg tweake at all matey - Create a new folder on the C:\ Drive preferabbly where everybody has access.

In OE, Click Tools
-Options
Click on the Maintenance Tab
Click on OE Store Folder
Specify the new folder

Do the same for all users!

I dont know of message rules sorry, Im not too sure how possible it is, Ive never been able to do it myself :(

Hope that helps with the message sharing though :-)

Cheers

Have a look at this (www.kellys-korner-xp.com) and see if it is of help.quote from site:
"If you don't mind having Signatures, Rules and all the other settings the same, this method works."

... and it worked... :D

to add further the above instruction.
- Check and ensure that all users use the same mailboxes via
Tools | Option
Choose Maintenance Tab
Click on Store Folder
the path on "Your Personal Message Store is located in
the following folder"
- Change path if require ie the path specified should be the
same for all users

Cheers!
