| 146522 | 2003-05-22 09:54:00 | I was on a Win2k machine at this particular time. I had a warning that my password was going to expire in 6 days, and that I had to change it. So I did.. to one which was 15 characters long. I managed to log on and off several times without problems. Today I tried logging in on a Win98 machine, and guess what... the max password length on those machines is 14 characters. Obviously the login server denied me access. Very strange.... But now i've learnt my lesson - to have shortish passwords (there also happens to be a minimum password length of 8 characters) |
