| 146482 | 2003-05-22 07:07:00 | Hey all While doing anything on my computer it freezes up! Usally, but not always while in IE. It just freezes, i can still move my mouse but nothing else! I have to reboot by hitting ctrl-alt-del a few times. Any ideas why? It has only just started happening. Tried to run a norton disk defrag but it feezed while doing that too.. | 146485 | 2003-05-22 07:36:00 | Guess we eliminate the obvious first. Restart computer into safe mode. Run Scandisk, then defrag. After that it might pay to advise if you use anti-virus, and spyware removal programs such as Spybot and Ad-aware. Another avenue is download and run regclean Also might pay to see if you have any updated drivers for your video card. I know there is a lot of stuff I have suggested, but there are many causes for your problem, and we can eliminate them one at a time.So Scandisk first. |

| 146486 | 2003-05-23 00:58:00 | try a reinstall of your graphics drivers and uninstall as many programs that you have recently installed or dont need also you can try out cacheman in case its a memory management problem . I also use fix-it plus windowwasher and regcleaner to keep my PC lean and mean as well as spybot and adware pro |
