Robin, yes I have looked at the options for the attachment folder. As far as I can see you can opt to have attachments deleted from that folder when the message is deleted but I do not want that to happen with every attachment whose email I delete. Being a bit of a magpie I like to keep some of them for a few days and some of them for longer even though the message is deleted. It is not really a problem to go through them once in a while.
