Guess that might cost the developers perhaps? I am not sure. In terms of security though it may be a good thing. |

I installed on my PC last night and it killed XP X-(, XP would start and then restart just as it asked for a username and password . I traced it to the VPN client (check point SecuRemote service) installed on both my network and dialup adapters, which I use when I work from home . In the end recovered from backup Oh well back to Zone Alarm . ;\ |

| 147197 | 2003-05-27 00:13:00 | Filled in the online form this morning, I feel a bit let down as I downloaded the full manual and it looks a heap better than Zone Alarm . Hope they do something about it!!! |

| 147198 | 2003-05-27 01:07:00 | Yeah, oh well, maybe they can fix it fairly soon..... Imoo [In my own opinion] its better than zonealarm, well for me, too in terms of firewall rule ability, speed of loading, easier to understand interface.... although I am no computer expert, just an entry level tech and someone testing out whats on the market. |

| 147200 | 2003-05-27 02:11:00 | Well I'm a network manager for A very large publishing company and it looks like the best Software based Firewall programs I seen since the first editions of ZoneAlarm came out in 98-99 Its a bugger as we're looking at upgrading our laptop fleet at the moment and I would like to put a good firewall program on each (I liked that Outpost can run as a service and be hidden from the users) But our VPN connection must use the VPN-1 software (no way round) Hopefully that can fix it (if they do it would probably mean at least 50 sales!!) |

| 147201 | 2003-05-27 02:17:00 | Hello again... hmm well I am no expert on business but perhaps you should mention that you are looking at converting a large number [maybe outlining quantity] of machines to there paid[?] [ie version 2] of the product and that might give them even more incentive? Or perhaps you already have *shrug* |

| 147203 | 2003-05-27 07:14:00 | Good point. You could indicate in some form of contract if they were to modify it you would be x amount of copies but then it's really dependant on the contract and it can get messy i guess *Shrug* | Captive (3159) | ||
