| 147048 | 2003-05-24 05:38:00 | I have a new Compaq laptop model 2133AP with Windows XP Home and Works Suite version 7 installed. Using Word the following keys seem to be transposed Shift + figure 2 gives quotation marks (") instead of @ Shift + Figure 3 gives pound sign (£) instead of # Shift + Pipe (|) gives tilde (~) Shift + Quotation marks gives @ Have looked at Control Panel and Keyboard Properties; Languauge is set to English (New Zealand) so don't know where to look next Anyone got any ideas? no shift and Backslash key gives # |

| 147051 | 2003-05-24 23:19:00 | Thanks for the input guys. Had already looked at Languages but didn't realise that the option was not only for setting the language but that the part after the hyphen was for the keyboard layout. Changed to US and everything now Ok Barbara |
