147598 2003-05-26 08:04:00 On a network of PC's we run Win98SE and Office XP on each machine. About 5 minutes after a user logs off, the harddrive comes alive, as if the antivirus program kicks in, but its not the antivirus program. I seem to remember that in Office 2000, Office would rearrange the files for you so that they would load quicker. I'm picking this is happening in Office XP. Does anyone know how to turn this feature off. Or does anyone have any idea what is causing this. Thank you. zeph53 (3876)

Remove it from your Startup folder.

147600 2003-05-26 09:20:00 FindFast (or is it FastFind?) can also be removed from Control Panel, either in Add/Remove Programs or from Office's add/remove components. Removing it altogether is preferable if you are able to. Susan B (19)
