| 147751 | 2003-05-27 00:54:00 | Ive just been given a computer that has a peculiar habit. When closing down it gets to the Windows splash screen and the message Windows is shutting down and thats it. It just hangs there. The message It is now safe to turn off your computer never appears. I suspected it might be a corrupt file so I ran Scandisk with no problems reported and then formatted the disk and reinstalled win98se. Still the problem persists. Anyone any suggestions? Cheers Bob |
