They are the best on the market because they use Sony's patented Apeture Grill (spelling?) technology, which is pretty unbeatable. They are a little more expensive, but are worth every dollar apparently and you won't have any problems with them :) Other than that you can try lcd technology. Not sure if their very good for gamers yet? |

| 148136 | 2003-05-28 18:29:00 | I recently bought a 19" monitor from DSE for $396. Though it is branded DSE it is actually a re-badged Proview. I am very happy with it have no complaints of any sort. It may not be perfect but it suits me. Jack. |

| 148139 | 2003-05-30 04:39:00 | I just noticed on the back of my Sony Trinitron 17" monitor that it was manufactured in July 1996. I have had it from new, so I guess it wasn't far off that date when I bought it. That should be an indicator of the quality of Sony monitors (or at least their longevity). I thought it cost an arm and a leg at the time, but I guess that isn't too bad over nearly 7 years... Now I wonder if it owes me anything and whether I could trade up to a LCD monitor (drool). John |
