| 148335 | 2003-05-29 09:24:00 | My sister is looking at buying a compaq preserio with AMD Athlon XP2200+ installed, and I was wondering what speed it goes at. Is it a 2gig or what. I have tried looking around Compaq, and Amd, and am still know no more than I did when I started. TIA | supergran (108) | ||
| 148336 | 2003-05-29 09:43:00 | Hi SuperGran, The AMD XP2200 runs at ~1800Mhz. The tricky bit about though is that it runs many applications as though it was an Intel Pentium 4 2.2Ghz processor. It does this by having a more efficient architecture. Intel didn't use to agree to this idea, at least until they released their latest mobile pentium chips :) |
