148233 2003-05-29 05:39:00 Hello,

I'm wondering if there is a way to change the user_agent that's sent when using fopen() to open a URL? From what I've read php.ini can be altered, but I'm looking for a way of doing this in script.

Thanks,
Inverse

148234 2003-05-29 08:34:00 I'm not sure that I know the answer to your question, but I've got a question for you:

Why not edit the php.ini rather than putting it into script? Including it as script basically means extra code in the page, which equals extra download/processing time. If it's in the php.ini then it's already been processed and would not affect the load time of each page. Or is there a reason that you can't specifically alter the php.ini?

Mike.
