2003-05-28 20:40:00 | I see from that site Bob Hope will be 100 tomorrow. | Joe_Bloggs (3863) | |
2003-05-28 20:45:00 | ...and I expect the song 'Thanks for the Memory' with Bob Hope and Shirley Ross from the 30s will be played frequently. Every one seemed to have forgot that Bing Crosby would have been 100 on March 3rd just past. Two of the worlds greatest entertainers.

2003-05-28 23:36:00 | I know, I know, Thomas, rapidly entering my second childhood, and always talking about ... 'now in the olden days....' or, 'now when I was a boy..' When you find that remembering things that happened over 60 years ago is much easier than what you said just about 1 minute ago, then maybe it's time to take a back seat. :)

2003-05-29 02:56:00 | >maybe it's time to take a back seat NOOOOOOOooooooooooo. That would be a bad idea. Unless of course the back seat is meaning sitting in the back on the internet and posting here.

2003-05-29 05:57:00 | What was it we used to do in the back seat?? | Thomas (1820) | |
2003-05-29 06:13:00 | That was one of the first uses for the Ford Tin Lizzie. There's a song from about 1927 about the back seat of a Tin Lizzie, it will take quite a while to find it. If I do, I'll try to transcribe the words. Nothing new really, before that it would have been the back seat of a horse drawn carriage.
