I will presume this is in regards to Outlook Express and hanging up after checking for mail ....

In Outlook Express go to Tools > Options > Connection Tab. Put a tick in the box beside Hang up after sending and receiving.

Please post back with further details if this is not what you were asking.

If you mean disconnect when the computer is not used for certain amount of time or at idle then go to: Control Panel > Network Connections. Double click your internet connection icon (eg Xtra/ihug/paradise). Click on Properties > Options. Locate "idle time before hanging up" and choose the option you want and Ok out of there.

148602 2003-05-30 22:21:00 I am assuming that you mean the box that pops up after you close Internet Explorer that says 'Do you wish to disconnect from <connection name>?'

Go Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Connections tab -> Settings -> Advanced -> Tick box that says 'Disconnect when connection may no longer be needed'.

Hope this helps you out
