148508 2003-05-30 05:15:00 WHY won't some C D's not burn to a COPY..CD-R
Is it the program which in the past has never failed or is it new anti pirating technology.....
In the past where I bought originals for my grand children I often copied for siblings but now this not possible in some instances....

148509 2003-05-30 05:20:00 Yep, its the Anti-Copy Technology :-)

I can suggest Clone CD... but Im probably going to get shot down for that...

148510 2003-05-30 05:22:00 Yes, because if you had followed various threads, you would know that Alcohol 120% is THE one to use... ;) Lohsing (219)
148511 2003-05-30 08:57:00 Thank you CHILLING & LOHSING I have noticed Alcohol 120% in the threads and have been wondering what it was about. Our old friend Google advises that Alcohol 120% contains parts of Clone CD so the Trial download is all I will need but from what I have read it is a 5 STAR Prog but there seem to be many 5 Star progs.... olldaddy76 (2539)
148512 2003-05-30 09:00:00 What CD writer are you using? Remember that Alcohol can only work as well as the writer you are using. Some older writers just can't keep up with newer protections...

And trust me, it is fully a 5-star program...

Lo.

148517 2003-05-30 14:16:00 i think its because clonecd hasnt been updated to copy cd's with the latest protection while alcohol does.

But then, what dificult situation isn't made easier by alcohol?

errrrrrrrrrrrr....................moving right along.

Anyway, time to take the guess work out of clone cd,The reason many people still manage to get coasters while using clonecd is because each different type of protection needs different settings within clonecd for both the read and write operation.

So,some crafty little germans wrote a small program called clonyxxl, which examines the disc before you copy it and sets up clonecd with the exact varibles to make a perfect working copy.

clonyxxl+clonecd=Swish!

Hard to find program and most copies of it are in German but there is an english version doing the rounds.
