1314395 2012-12-30 01:38:00 Had some Monteiths IPA last night, quite a nice hoppy one I think
(still a DB product but at least brewed here on the Coast).
They are finally getting a few different beers at the Four-Square.
Slurp.

1314398 2012-12-30 19:49:00 He ain't the only one, and I was born here! Our absentee PM and his scurrilous crew
are busy making this place 'Poverty Rock', as we speak.

Someone give this man a beer quick, he has seen through the populist BS that is spouted by JK and fully understands AND he knows what's a good beer and what is just flavoured tap water

1314399 2013-01-02 21:05:00 In UK for a few months, staying in St. Albans.
Every second or third evening we'll go to a different pub (and there's plenty to chose from in St. Albans) with our son.
English Ale is really good - providing one picks the right one:), I guess.
Tonight we had a "Doombar" each - good Cornish brew, at the "Lower Red Lion". Makes me feel patriotic, as that's where my family originated from.
I had a chuckle, the other night, at the slogan on a beer mat, at the "Hare and Hounds", which read " scared you might taste something lager boy"
It was advertising "Hob Goblin", so we had a pint of that each.
Good fun! The pubs here are so good. Trouble is, back to reality in May:groan:
