Nice drop, needs to be cold for me to enjoy though which for me is a bad sign as cold destroys the Taste. 1 maybe 2 then I'd move onto something else I think.

Their breakfast beer sounds interesting though.

Seems a bit over the top to have brewed a specific breakfast beer - EVERY beer is a breakfast beer.... :)

I tried a Montieth's Apricot Wheat beer tonight - not normally a fan of fruity beers like Radler and Summer Ale, but this wasn't bad, with just a hint of an apricot aftertaste...

1314378 2012-12-09 10:52:00 I'm extremely pleased that no one has mentioned the Nelson "Harleys" brew. I'm waiting for a survivor that has. Once tried, never forgotten. :) :)
Indeed. Unscrew the cap of a flagon. If it sucks the cork in, she's genuine Harleys. Unfortunately the only Harleys I tried appeared to have been previously consumed by a horse . Truly unforgettable, and never stolen.

1314380 2012-12-28 21:31:00 I realise this thread is a little old, but I've got a bottle of Emersons London Porter, which I was about to open last night when I noticed the best before date of August 2012.

What do you guys reckon, would the age actually help the flavour? or should I just go back to the shop and swap it?

1314381 2012-12-28 23:10:00 The survivor rate has risen to 5 after the last 2 post's. A truly memorable beer. It even dissolved chewing gum!  BobM (1138)

1314383 2012-12-28 23:44:00 Helped knocked off a box of McGashin Stoke Dark last night, not sure if its classified as boutique or not. Customer bought it round to thank me for the year repairing his trucks. Cracked the box there and then I wouldnt let him leave on an odd number or even number until we bowled the box.
Good drop but to be honest if it has alcohol in I will love it anyway.

Won a magnum of Moa Methode at the craft beer night at Fitzroy Liquorland a month or so ago. Quite a nice drop (demolished on Xmas day).

Twas a good night, bought many beers (all gone now) and was a delight to find an offie in NP that sells a decent range of craft beers.

Big fan of the traditional wheat beers myself, have been home brewing for over two years now and still to perfect the Hoegaarden imitation.
