As I read it, he would like the forum to delete any sentence with the word **** and such in it, so people can't guess what the rude words are by the leftover asterisks that are currently used. Quite frankly I dont think this is acceptable, from what I was told on Wednesday." I think you need to get with reality, Frank. The F word and others exist, and people use them. You cannot shield children from them for ever. If they don't read them (or their **** equivalents) here, they will see\hear them somewhere else. Do you want to censor entire paragraphs and sentences in all TV shows too? All Books? everything? If you walk down the street and hear someone say '****' are you going to blast an air horn in his face so nobody can hear what he's saying and get offended? It just doesn't work, does it? Remember how they banned alcohol in USA? That didn't stop everyone and their uncle brewing their own, did it? Either you go insane and try to turn everything into a Orwellian 1984-esque dictatorship or you just get over the fact that some people are going to say the F-word. It's up to their parents to be responsible and teach them that they shouldn't use the words, in my opinion - but I doubt that will work very well either, to be honest. |
