1313613 2012-11-20 19:43:00 Spend a little more. A car is usually pretty well received (as long as it's new). ;) R2x1 (4628)
1313614 2012-11-20 19:44:00 Does it have to be a gift? Could you take her someplace nice, take her away for a weekend, etc, rather than a gift?

Some people like gifts, some people like to experience something with someone they care about that they will remember.

Failing that, I hear a gift subscription to PC World is nice...

1313621 2012-11-20 20:10:00 Give her a one way grabaseat to the Chatham islands :devil

It kinda does depend. It seems she has expensive taste which is always an "issue" as such since you feel like whatever you buy is simply a little icing on what she all ready has. As someone said before look out for things she has looked at but not bought or perhaps go a little different. My missus got me a Crowded House LP and a Box Brownie (to replace the one I couldn't fix) which went down very well with me. It seems today 2nd hand stuff is quite fashionable, what used to be "Antique shop junk" (and still is classed as much) is sold for ridiculous prices in Greytown shops (and even worse in Wellington)

On a side note, you could try one of those 1/2 hour trial flights (about $100) if she's adventurous or go skydiving etc. Perhaps not your cup of tea?
