1338774 2013-05-02 01:23:00 Hey guys... my adaptor arrived at 7:45 this morning! The tracking was great from Courier Post - the online link showed who signed for it and even a scan of her signature.

Plod - it was a great recommendation! The item didn't turn out to be a generic model, which I had expected. It's in fact a Toshiba which is perfectly compatible with my Asus unit. 10/10 for their knowledge and service.

Thanks heaps.

8ftmetalhaed - I hope you get your battery with similar success.

1338779 2013-05-02 21:29:00 got it 15 minutes ago, it's now sitting charging in the laptop. will see how it likes it when it's fully charged in a bit.
Assuming it boots and doesn't blow up in my face, hooray!

1338780 2013-05-02 22:31:00 Nothing like the smell of burning lithium to start your day :D Agent_24 (57)
1338781 2013-05-03 08:56:00 well it's worked and i'm chuffed. It lasts donkeys compared to the old battery which spat the dummy frequently after 30-40 minutes on a good day and 20 minutes on a bad one.
I've been dropping and recharging it throughout the day and it's handling it nicely. It does have a small curve at the back end of it where my old one was flat, but it still fits snugly and locks in.
And most importantly it hasn't blown up yet.

So yay, thanks to the PF1 team and the fellows at laptopbattery.
