| 1339394 | 2013-05-02 04:45:00 | "WSAstartup() failed, or you have the incorrect version of WinSock installed" I get this message whenever I try to download a torrent. I wonder if anyone is familiar with the problem and knows a remedy? | Guillaume (16361) | ||
| 1339395 | 2013-05-02 05:12:00 | Open a command prompt as admin if you're using Vista +. Then type netsh winsock reset. Then type exit, then reboot. Then see if it works | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 1339396 | 2013-05-06 05:14:00 | Speedy, many thanks for the suggestion which I'm afraid left me no further forward. I note that you mention Vista -- I should have noted that I am running Windows 7. I ran the Cmd as administrator, types in the phrase you suggested and it reported that the Winsock catalogue had been reset, rebooted, but found the same problem. Bill |
