149139 2003-06-02 00:19:00 Hi Norton AV users,

Symantec has another 255.5Kb's of definitions on "Live Update"
(01/06/2003),to take your library to 63,906 micro-defs.

It's good preventive medicine so go get them!

Cheers,Kiwitas,;-)

149140 2003-06-02 05:03:00 AVG has been updated today as well, for the second time this week. Susan B (19)
149141 2003-06-02 06:35:00 Thanks Kiwitas :). I saw your post so shot off and did a liveupdate. I then checked my emails from my backup ISP and NAV promptly caught W32.Sobig.C@mm (securityresponse.symantec.com) whose definition has only just been added in this lot of liveupdate defs.

Although, as it was addressed from Microsoft (big give-away!) I would of never opened it anyway :D

Keep up the good work :)

ive been advised to disable NAV when playing games (esp battlefield). Do you have to kill the process or just "disable auto-protect" for the best result.

thanks

You don’t really need to.

I do Not do that & I do not find any difference when I am playing games, but if you want to then just "disable auto-protect"

Hope this helps :)

149144 2003-06-02 08:39:00 Thanks Susan B,

AVG has been updated today

Grisoft must have posted that update after mid-day as my
spy app hasn't told me yet!

For Dylan,
If you have been told to shut down NAV while playing games,
the only reason I can think off, would be to make more of your resources
available?
In which case it would be better to shut it down completely?

No doubt someone else out there will correct me if I am wrong!

Cheers,Kiwitas,;-)
