| 149170 | 2003-06-02 12:06:00 | true u get what u pay for. for most people even for myself if i am not too fussy and i can stand buying a setup box than building my own - it will suit them fine. what do most people do? unless ur a ultra keen gamer. even for some gaming members have said an MX AGP card is fine thus this system will be acceptable. we cannot accept the best of everything. and hey, there's many things to quearm about other than a PC. |

| 149171 | 2003-06-02 12:12:00 | i have a laptop P3 only. it does the job, i can email, surf, work, go online, dvd and occasionally do some photohop, scan, pagemaker and some website developments... its jus a tool. we don't all live in a mansion and drive exotic cars.. jus an individual thing i guess and how people set their priorities. but for the avg household its fine for work and the avg game. one quearm, i would prefer a full intel soln. more stable, less fast u can argue but thats my priority. |

| 149172 | 2003-06-02 12:25:00 | I AM NOT trying to create a fight, but perhaps, metla, I suggest you use better phrasing, and better words. Currently, you don't sound very professional. Yes, its good to have your own opinion, but definitely not in a way that they should all listen to you, because they're wrong and your right, like always, this query does not have a right OR wrong answer. Instead of saying, "needless to say we ditched the idea quick smart" you could always say, "but we found it didn't suit our needs, therefore looked for other models on the market" You say the software is rubbish, why? What do you use? For the majority of the people here, we would find the software more than 'excellent'. You also mention 'cheap'? But do you think of the millions of children out there in poverty, who would think of food, let along computers, as been 'cool and posh'. Next time, think more about what you're saying. Why their are reader like Bazaa trying to change your attitude.... *sorry, I may seem not as welcoming, but I am very dissappointed that you have given this kind of comment to other users seeking help. after all, they wouldn't be asking if they knew* Anyone interested in my computer(s) :p? |

The points i made are valid. Its cheap, but you get what you pay for. There is no customer suport. I would steer clear of any system marketed by chainstores. As to you not liking my style? Tough, get over it,If you want to contest my points please continue to do so,if im wrong, point it out. Since ive been visiting this forum i would feel i have helped out a great deal of people,or at least pushed them in a direction that may have helped there situation. I do not apreciate your comments that i should post in a manner pleasing to you. And what is this rubbish? Instead of saying, "needless to say we ditched the idea quick smart" you could always say, "but we found it didn't suit our needs, therefore looked for other models on the market" screw you buddy, ill say it as i see it. |

| 149174 | 2003-06-02 12:57:00 | of course some can form their own opinion, & do not have to agree with others, but what is their opinion worth, in regard to the question here? We are talking about a Compac deal.. Many have recommended it, but one has rubbished it. What is his opinion worth? Maybe he can support his opinion with facts, helpful information, and his experience with systems like this. |

Are you saying i only have the right to a different opinion once i have satisfied to you that i have the credentials to make one? How bizarre and arrogant.Does everyone else have to go through the same rigoures testing or just the ones that you personally dont agree with? What is my opinon worth?...The same as everybody elses.I suggest you find some other less petty way to fill your time. If you see statements of mine you dont agree with, then say why, rather then making posts purely to attack my credability. |

| 149177 | 2003-06-02 21:08:00 | This is OT and nothing to do with the current 'dispute' going on. Dear sy, I must absolutely congratulate you on your command of English. Do you remember when you first came to Press F1 and various people misunderstood what you were trying to say? A few of us stood by you as we could see what the problem was. Your sheer determination saw you through, and now you are a master. Your P75 is a classic collectors item with a lot of history, I would keep it as a souvenir. :) Best of luck. |

| 149178 | 2003-06-02 21:18:00 | as allready stated, its a good home system for the price and you get what you pay for. from what I have been told the shop near me has sold 150 systems in only 5 days. as for customer support: it is a bit limited just as it would be if you got the system for bond & bond or such like. the first line of help is an 0800 number to techs in auckland if they cant help then its back to the shop for repair or replace. overall I would say this is a very good deal for beginers and small home users, it is NOT a gameing system. |

I've not been here long and maybe i shouldnt say it but you have a sharp tounge yourself. I thought we south Islanders were meant to be friendly people? Why cant we all be nice to each other?
