Talk about living in a dream world. I saw someone selling a P166 in the T & E the other week. It was "Internet Ready" with Win98 and they wanted $1100 for it. |

BUT . . . . . if you're continually waiting to get something, you'll never get it . The best time to get something, is when you think its best for you, when you need it, otherwise don't bother thinking about it . Like me, I was thinking of getting a good AMD couple of months back, but ended up for this 'cool as' second-hand PIII . Works just as well, do I need a new one? NO . . . . In this time, I have saved myself hundred if not thousand . . . . If you want it, get it, if not, leave it . . . . easy :D Hope you make a wise decision, ;-) |

I'm sure my Dad won't mind giving his, "Internet/Network Ready" P200 with monitor and 32mb ram, 1GB *WOW! some might say* for $1000+ ($100 discount) :p anyday Otherwise, you can have my P75 overclocked to P100 for $100 ANYDAY ;-) Reply if you're interested ;-) Very genuine . . . . :D |

| 149166 | 2003-06-02 09:50:00 | looks like a cheap nasty and not-worth-spitting on system. You only get what you pay for and the only good component i can see in that is the cpu,which id guess would be restricted by the 2 dollar mobo. From what ive seen those all-in-one printer-scanners do a poor job of printing and scanning(looked into getting one for the office a couple months ago,needless to say we ditched the idea quick smart. The bundled software is rubbish,id get rid of the lot apart from ms-word. And what exactly would you do when it went knees up?...take it to the pen salesman you bought it off?...warehouse stationery policy is to tell you to contact the manufacter,....nice one,.....the good old help line then bundle your entire box into a courier so someone in another city can have a look at it. I pity the fool who walks into that "deal". You get what you pay for,and thats all you get. |

| 149167 | 2003-06-02 10:50:00 | I've had a good look at the flyer, and I'd say it's a very good deal for the price, especially if it has an AGP slot. | Rod J (451) | ||
| 149168 | 2003-06-02 11:21:00 | Have many posters on this thread read the advertising for this PC deal? It seems some have, and there are several favourable comments. I wonder if anyone would care to comment on a statement on this thread like 'a cheap & nasty system restricted by a $2 mobo', and suggesting getting rid of the 'rubbish' microsoft software apart from MS-Word. To be helpful for the original poster, is that fair, accurate & informed comment? |

| 149169 | 2003-06-02 11:55:00 | Bazza,there was more in my post then just that comment,but as it stands they are my view on that system and its software. Many people out there would be more then happy with it as it stands. I certainly wouldnt recomend the hardware or the software. Perhaps your saying i should just agree with the other posters rather then forming my own opinion? baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. |
