| 149453 | 2003-06-04 07:11:00 | Ok.. I currently stand at: Samba is non-responsive on port 901... I'm not too worried about this though as I can always just edit samba.conf The keyboard shortcuts were a shocker - can't believe I didn't see them before :O - I mean really! I must be as blind as a bat or something like that not to have picked it up The Macromedia download came from Macromedia for Mozilla.. I now see why they say that it's unsupported at this point at time.. Not quite working with all versions of Mozilla... Bugger I haven't looked into Show Desktop yet, however next time I'm in linux I will have a looksie.. I haven't come quite to grips with the virtual desktops yet, however I will most likely just use shortcut keys to get to each desktop at the end of the day and use Desktop 1 for Schoolwork/homework/projects/etc, desktop 2 for fun play and the net, and so forth Thanks for the tonnes of fonts though - I think I have more in Linux than I do in Windows :p... | 149455 | 2003-06-04 08:41:00 | as for the SWAT problem, if you read the docs for it you will find that you have to put some stuff in the inetd.conf so that the data on port 901 will be passed to the swat thing. hope that makes sence, read the docs and have a play , i got it to work in only two gos :-) |

| 149456 | 2003-06-04 08:52:00 | Its honestly not hard to edit the smb.conf file :-) Change your WorkGroup, change it to 'share = public', then add something like: [Transfer] public = yes path = /transfer read only = no And you're peachy :-) |
