| 149987 | 2003-06-05 10:21:00 | win98, and still more problems! - there's no little speaker icon down below right and winamp won't play and there's just no sound, so i tried this - my computer - properties, - device manager - +?other devices (large yellow ?) PCI Multimedia Audio Device - properties - no driver installed - reinstall driver (looks pretty simple even for me)- OK - windows unable to locate a driver for this device -- but -- a search reveals, -- location of driver:- C:\Windows\INF\SERWAV.INF but i can't find it - can someone please get me some sound? by the way i reinstalled win 98 to see if the solution was there but, no |

| 149988 | 2003-06-05 10:25:00 | what sound card do you have?? put in the CD for the sound card and run throught the auto setup of the CD. if you dont have the ?CD then tell us what card you have and we will try and tell you where to get drivers. |

| 149990 | 2003-06-06 00:39:00 | > win98, and still more problems! - there's no little > speaker icon down below right To get the icon back, Go to Control Panel then there should be a button called Sounds and multimedia (or something like that, I have Win ME so if might be different) Then at the bottom of the first tab should be some text called: “Show volume control on the taskbar.” Tick that box next to it & the sound icon should show up. One the sound icon shows up click on it & see if the sound is muted. Hope this helps |
