149884 2003-06-05 01:02:00 Hi guys...

Alot of you mention that if converting file system from NTFS to FAT32 which u need to use Partition Magic....

However, if I start from scatch again (like Re-install Windows XP again under NTFS system), when the menu comes, it said format with NTFS or FAT32, can I use that section and format back to FAT32?? or is it no way that I can go back with FAT32 unless I have partition magic...

And also during the setup, Windows XP setup allow you to reallocate for partition setting, if i converting back to FAT32, do I have to re-do the partition stuff or I can just leave it as it is and reformat the HDD

Thanks again
Jacky

149885 2003-06-05 01:26:00 When you start from scratch you can do as you suggest without Partition Magic.

PM is needed if you want to retain data (or try to) when changing partition/format of the HDD.

If wiping the data is acceptable, as in a complete installlation of XP from scratch, then reformat and go for it.
