149937 2003-06-05 09:16:00 i found that things kind of get faster if used more often.( like openoing a file)
mayb the computer detected a "new" hardrive and changed the seting
tri configuring some options

149938 2003-06-06 07:01:00 Its booting up a lot slower than it should, it used to take 40 seconds but now it takes upwards of 2minutes. olibigoli (801)
149939 2003-06-06 07:05:00 Do you know where it is slower? Does it take a long time till you see the windows loading screen? Or is it slow loading windows itself? Pheonix (280)
149940 2003-06-06 11:32:00 it boots up normal untill it gets to the black screen with the windows logo and the loading bar type thing.
You should know the one, its about the last screen before the "welcome" screen.
It sits on that loading screen for ages.

149941 2003-06-06 12:45:00 Can't figure why it should cause a problem by removing and replacing the hard drive. You didn't remove any cards and replace them in different slots?
Maybe someone else has got some idea's.

149942 2003-06-11 01:00:00 no i didnt remove any cards, but i did unplug the 3 pin(i think)(not the power one) plug out of the back of the floppy disk and masy have put the incorresct one back in.
My cd writer and cd rom still both work so i cant see the wron plug in the floppy drive being a problem.

149943 2003-06-11 01:12:00 No they won't be the problem. They just carry the audio out to the sound card if you are playing an audio CD. You can only get it reversed, and that just swaps left and right channels.
Sorry, I can't think of anything else that would cause it.

149944 2003-06-11 03:21:00 Just had another thought...it happens from time to time :) You haven't dislodged a memory stick? Check on bootup that the memory counts up to what you should have in it. Pheonix (280)
149945 2003-06-11 07:46:00 hey that a good idea but i already checked that and i still have the same amound of ram as alwayse :( . olibigoli (801)
