You would be talking about Lycoris Desktop/LX dude :-)

Yoper would not load. tried to install 3 times. last time got to an incomlete splash the crc error, system halted. Had to do a console repair of the win2k MBR to get it to boot to doze. Could it be a corrupted cd image or download? I feel another sniffle coming on 677MB download :_| Boot floppy didn't work either so that option was out. The Yoper install partition is of course inaccessable from doze, doze being really keen to refomat it ;)

I'll sleep on it. Any suggestions folks?

Dr Floppy is selling Yoper V1 for $89 . 95 . . .
Might get myself a copy once I'm more comfortable in RedHat

150526 2003-06-08 01:42:00 Your best bet for downloads is to use GetRight, never had any problems with using that, but have with DAP and a few other Download Managers.. Chilling_Silently (228)
150527 2003-06-08 02:37:00 Thats what I used Chill. Getright ver 5.01. Am about to burn a new image to see if that was the problem. Can I run the image off the HDD or would I need to create a virtual CD?

150528 2003-06-08 11:14:00 A failure :(

Have posted on yoper site for info . Suspect a corrupt download .

Flyer how was your install, was it by download or off cd?

150529 2003-06-09 05:12:00 I bought the 2 CD set about a month ago. flyer590 (2523)
150530 2003-06-09 12:47:00 Hi Flyer

I'm really keen to get this thing up and running .

One of the errors I'm getting is that it won't load past the initial Yoper boot screen, Boot: Yos loading . . . . . . . . . . . (error) isolinux: disk error 80, A X = 4200, drive 9F boot failed, press a kry to retry . . . . . Retrying doesn't get me any further although I had got to login previously off a diif burnt CD image, but that was it .

Checked the MD5 sums on the downloaded iso's and everything checked out ok . Checked the same on the burnt iso image and it MD5sum . exe (checker) locked on isolinux/initrd . gz which is the file just after isolinux/boot . cat :O So I'm going to try some different CDR media but that won't happen for a few days because I'm off ip country to do a couple of jobs . Will log in here if I get the oppurtunity tho .

Do you reckon I'm taking the right approach . Have posted on Yoper forum with abit more detail . Look for mm8 .

150531 2003-06-09 21:25:00 The first time I tried Yoper (before I bought the CD set), the iso didn't work because of a bad CD. I think the best thing to try is to burn it to a different brand of CD - and hopefully it will work. :-) flyer590 (2523)
