150327 2003-06-06 14:06:00 I am trying to get hold of a 200w micro atx sfx power supply unit in NZ for an HP Pavilion 4416 which currently only has 100w. Can anyone inform me of retailers in NZ who supply these types of psu's? Specifically the small form factor power supply units. Many thanks. Rave35 (3962)

150329 2003-06-06 22:59:00 if i remeber correctly those psu's where a custom job. you should be able to get an origanal from hp parts suppliers.

if your wanting to upgrade the psu i suggest you simply buy a whole new case. it will proberly cost less and you will have more room, better cooling (be carefull that the cpu may only have a passive cooling), more bays to install cd drives into etc.

These days, 200w is borderlining on too little power. That's my understanding of course. I think you should consider 250w, unless the particular HP model is older and doesn't require much juice (the more add ons, the more power it requires).
