150677 2003-06-07 13:27:00 I have an interesting problem. I have been using win98 on c drive (FAT32), but have come across a program I need that will only run in nt4 with service pack. I tried to install nt4 on secondary hard drive trying FAT, FAT32 and NTFS but alas it hates everything I try. Any ideas or links for help on this. I would rather not have to re-install all the programs on win98 if I can help it.

150678 2003-06-08 04:37:00 Some points that may help?

1. NT4 will not install on FAT32 (Windows 2000 was the first of the NT stream to do so).
2. NT4 will not install on NTFS5 as supplied with Windows 2000.

YOu don't mention if you have prepared the partiion with (say) Partition Magic and maybe chosen the wrong file type as above.

However it should install on FAT16.

You have not been very specific about this - at what stage do things go wrong? What error messages if any do you get?
