| 151704 | 2003-06-10 22:24:00 | Hiya, Just out of curiosity, for users with Windows 2000 SPK3, can anyone besides myself install the latest critical update: Q818529 successfully? For some odd reason, I get an error message "This update requires Windows 2000 SPK3." Well, I know I have service pack 3.... Has anyone experienced this also? If not, then apart from the obvious, administrative rights, Service Pack 3, etc.. how did you install it succesfully? Thanks The following summary for the latest update: --------------------------------------------------------- 818529: June 2003, Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 Download size: 2.0 MB, 7 minutes A number of security issues have been identified in Microsoft® Internet Explorer that could allow an attacker to compromise your Microsoft Windows®-based systems and then take a variety of actions. For example, an attacker could run programs on a computer used to view the attacker's Web site. This vulnerability affects computers that have Microsoft® Internet Explorer installed. (You do not have to be using Internet Explorer as your Web browser to be affected by this issue.) You can help protect your computer by installing this update from Microsoft. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer |
