151558 2003-06-10 09:16:00 My WinXP computer has suddenly taken to returning to the initial screen (where you click your account profile to enter Windows) after a period of inactivity. I can't find how to stop it, mainly because I don't really know what I'm searching for. Can anyone help?
Thanks.

151559 2003-06-10 09:20:00 Does this happen after the screensaver has been running? If so, right click on the desktop, go to the Screensave tab and remove the tick from "On resume display Welcome screen". tommy (2826)
151560 2003-06-10 09:23:00 No, I don't have any screensaver enabled. I've also disabled my power-saving options. djom (3990)

151562 2003-06-10 12:15:00 Nope, can't think of anything at all that I've changed. djom (3990)
151563 2003-06-10 12:55:00 Hi djom, there was a similar kind of thread a week or so back, but using xp pro. However i think you have checked all the settings mentioned in it, but mainly check that, that "tick" isn't in the screensaver setting by default for: "On resume, display welcome" as Mike suggested in the thread below.

Another thing that does make this happen is if you are using a password, i found that when using xp home. You or another user haven't added a password recently?

151565 2003-06-11 10:41:00 Strangest thing... I've been having this problem for several weeks and now it hasn't happened at all since last night. I've racked my brain trying to think of anything I've changed but I can't think of anything. Maybe all I really needed to do was post on pressf1 ??

I'll keep an eye on it and keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for your help.
