| 151490 | 2003-06-10 05:50:00 | If they really wanted your money, I very much doubt you would have received the CDs without them receiving the money. The value $ may be stated only for customs purposes, and they would have held the CDs if they really wanted any of your money as well. You cannot be charged for unsolicited goods. |

| 151495 | 2003-06-10 09:19:00 | I guess they have to charge people for beta testing. Some would say that's what we have all been for so long with all the other products. Sounds a bit rich. Still, you don't have to do it. I can't say I am in any rush to see it. Just changed profiles on my XP machine and lost all my autocorrect entries and so on. Can't be arsed looking for where Office XP keeps it all. Wish it was all in one sodding place. robo. |

Nope, they don't charge to beta test - I'm currently testing 5 MS products and a couple of non-MS programs as well, and have beta tested numerous programs in the past and have never paid for a single one of them. MS do, however, supply copies of beta software to NON-testers, which I think they refer to as "Consumer Beta Software" which they do charge a small fee (probably that $25) just as they charge a fee to supply the SP for XP on CD - just the cost of supplying the CD and shipping etc. I gather.
