| 151712 | 2003-06-11 00:25:00 | I have used various versions of Word over the years. At times the numbering drives me crazy. 1. I create a numbered list by clicking the toolbar button or by using a number style. I usually modify the style to suit my needs. 2. When I start a second numbered list, sometimes 2 or 3 paragraphs away from the first numbered list, it continues the numbering from the first list. I 're-start' numbering to get my new list back to '1' - and the formatting for both lists reverts to the original formatting. How do I (a) turn off the 'automatic' continuation of numbering and (b) get Word to keep the formatting I want? Many thanks. |
