| 151757 | 2003-06-11 04:42:00 | I am using Excel to display charted data about a person whose details are in the associated spreadsheet. Apart from using a macro is there any way to directly display spreadsheet cell contents containing their ID information on the chart as a chart title? There do not appear to be any accessible functions I can use in the title field that reference the worksheet. | mhurrell (3998) | ||

Insure that the drawing tools menu is open and insert a text box where you what it. Now the important part here is to insure that you enter the information in the formula bar otherwise it will just display what you type as text. But basically if the information is in the cell A1 on Sheet Data you would select the text box that you just inserted and type in the formula bar =Data!A1 This should then display the information from Cell A1 on the Sheet called Data. Hope you understand this as it is really simple once you get the hang of it. Just need to make sure you use the formula bar to enter and not type it as text. |
