| 151727 | 2003-06-11 02:51:00 | How do I recreate this disk? I just installed a RH9 into an older computer and gave it LILO on /dev/hdb1 instead of the MBR. I was given the option to create a startup disk but using the disk I think it's corrupted. I got into RH using the CD and booting linux rescue, I then created an image of the boot (dd if=/dev/hdb1 bs=512 count=1 of=/mnt/floppy/rhboot.img) and am using NT's bootloader to boot into it now. I just want to know how I can create the disk, I've got all the info like boot.msg and syslinux.cfg as well as vmlinuz (from RH CD, hope that would work) and downloaded and Syslinux to create a bootable disk the problem is getting the right image 'INITRD.IMG' which I don't know how to create or where to get. Any ideas? |
