151718 2003-06-11 02:04:00 I am about to add Jetstream to our office network (6PCs) and would appreciate any suggestions or things to watch out for also if anyone knows a good site for setup procedures the address would be great. I would most likely opt for Jetstart as we mostly use the net for emails and a little browsing, not many large files or remote access required
Cheers

151719 2003-06-11 02:31:00 Ross,

Below are links to some articles on small office network setups. (GOOGLE using search string "setting up a small small office network" or similar)

In terms of hardware and cabling ... opt for ethernet based e.g. CAT5e or CAT6 network cabling, ethernet network cards in each pc, an 8 / 16 24-port network switch (to suit your requirements) an ethernet ADSL modem/router with built-in NAT (Network Address Translation) including a hardware firewall and DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol - this automatically assigns client pc addresses). Each pc should have antivirus software installed and kept up-to-date. KISS - "Keep It Simple Swain"

151720 2003-06-11 03:47:00 I think you'll find that Jetstream Starter (aka Jetstart) is for home/home business users only. But I could be wrong.
Is your business run from home?
I'd be interested to know as I would opt for Jetstream Starter instead of Jestream 600 for my business.

Cheers
