152021 2003-06-12 05:32:00 Have lost the Recycle bin and looking for help to recover it.
For some silly reason the Icon has disappeared from the desktop and the only reference I can find, is how to change the look of it and such things.
Using XPpro, any help appreciated...Ron

PS If any of you guys find it please send it home..

152022 2003-06-12 06:02:00 Ron24,

If you download and install TweakUI for Windows XP from Tweak_XP (www.microsoft.com) you can then get your Recycle Bin back.

Once installed start TweakUI and click on the Desktop item in the left pane and click in the box in the righthand pane next to recycle bin. (actually it is merely a registry hack anyways)

Cheers, Babe.

152023 2003-06-12 08:20:00 In help and support, type in recycle bin,it invites you to add an icon. Thomas (1820)
152024 2003-06-12 08:45:00 If you get your Norton bin back you you can restore it to a normal state (i.e. not Norton protected).

152025 2003-06-12 08:49:00 ???? Mine comes with both??? Thomas (1820)
152026 2003-06-13 00:32:00 Thanks for the replies, but still have the problem.
I downloaded Tweakui and followed the instructions, but there was already a tick in the box for "Desktop icon". So I took it out and then put it back in, pressed apply and restarted the computer. Still no Recycle bin Icon.
Any further help appreciated.......Ron..
