| 152346 | 2003-06-13 11:43:00 | Anyone knows how to discharge a cell phone battery? I just got a new nokia cell phone and the user manual says that a new battery's full performance is achieved only after two or three complete charge and discharge cycles. It further says that one way to discharge the battery is to leave the phone switched on until it turns itself off (I think this is not practical for obvious reasons) and using a discharge facility or accessory available. Buying such an accessory is definitely of of my budget, just or the initial two or three times of discharging the battery! Is there any other way to achieve this? Cheers |

I have now had a Nokia 5110 for six years and the battery has not failed me. | mikebartnz (21) | ||

In fact, it is best to charge this type of battery when ever .. I charge mine every night regardless whether it needs it or not. Li-ion type battery life will be shorten if you fully discharge it and recharges it. |
