I do not think you can, if you shut down your computer correctly then that will not come up, also if it keep coming up run Scandisk manually & see if that helps. Hope this helps. |

| 152327 | 2003-06-13 10:19:00 | For some reason my computer does not boot first time, now & again. It freezes just as the desktop comes on. It does it in ME as well but no problems there. I have checked the Bios settings & all Ok. Apart from a slow modem everything else is OK. |

| 152328 | 2003-06-13 10:58:00 | You should really investigate what is causing the startup freezes. This can be quite long winded as I have done this myself in the past on a WinME machine. This Microsoft Knowledge Base article Resources for Troubleshooting Startup Problems in Windows XP (support.microsoft.com) will give you plenty of ideas where to look. If this is also happening on the ME machine, is there a common program/s loading on startup that could be causing it? Check out msconfig and the startup list and remove any unnecessary programs. |
